We  make mention of the following few. Other beneficiary may please provide  their experience / anecdotes, for presenting on this page in coming months.

A) Shri. S.S.Bhat:

A past Loan Scholar of the League. One amongst many children of a temple priest family Shri. Bhat sought financial support from the League to continue his education into Engineering stream in VJTI, Mumbai. Loan Scholarship of Rs.300 p.a. from the League was a much needed help to complete the studies. Shri. Bhat joined the managing committee and risen to become President of The League. Shri. Bhat continues to donate regularly as a token of his gratitude to the Institution.

B) Dr. Prabhakar Saraf :  

Dr.Prabhakar Saraf took admission for Medicine in 1971 in Hubli, despite his family financial condition was not comfortable, which he was confident of getting support from the League. His annual fee was Rs.200/= which he got from the League for the next 5 years. He is now the Chief Medical officer at the Franco India Pharmaceuticals and also the Resident Doctor at the Mumbai Domestic Airport. Dr.Prabhakar Saraf is ever grateful to the timely help given by the league.

C)  Shri R.M.Kabe:

Sri R.M.Kabe of Thane was receiving financial assistance from the League in 1949/50 it was a god-send amount for him to continue his education. Later, he gave a donation of Rs.5,000/= to the League and wrote that this is only to express ‘my gratitude’ towards the League. ‘My debt of gratitude shall remain always’.  

D)  Dr.(Mrs) M.S.Mallya: 

Dr. M.S.Mallya, is a retired lady doctor now in Kalyanpur.  She did her graduation and  started teaching in a school to support the family. Her desire to become a doctor remained in the background, as the family funds could not support her medical degree. Later  she came to know of the loan scholarship availability from GSB League. She got financial assistance for the next five years and hence could complete her medical degree. She is ever grateful to the League.
